Diana Mather
Diana's TV career started with the UK's Central Television. She then joined the news team at BBC North where she stayed for ten years. For five years she presented 'The Executive Business Channel' for BBC Select, interviewing businessmen and women working in various companies and organisations all over Britain. She formed Public Image over twenty years ago to provide Public Speaking and Media training, but over the last four years she has begun to include International Business Etiquette, Protocol and Modern Manners. Diana has advised and trained international CEOs, diplomats, multinational organisations, and schools and is regularly quoted in printed media as well as appearing on numerous TV and radio programmes. Diana is also the author of five books, 'Image Works for Men', 'Image Works for Women', 'Surviving the Media', 'Nice Bear, Naughty Bear', and 'Please Bear's Birthday'.
Diana is currently writing her sixth book, to be released later in 2012.
Jo Wheeler
Jo Wheeler is a broadcaster with over 25 years experience in both television and radio. She made her debut in children’s television and continuity but quickly went on to cover news and current affairs for radio, and later news and weather for Sky Television. For a period of six years, she was commuting from Portugal to fulfil business commitments, where she and her family were renovating an Algarvian villa. She left the expat life two years ago as the educational requirements of her growing family became pressing. Throughout her career, she has juggled the myriad pressures of every working mother, whilst accepting that living abroad was unlikely to make the job any easier! Now she considers her five children to be old and articulate enough for her to spend a little more time at home! In her leisure time, she walks her three dogs, indulges two cats, reads and plays piano and saxophone.
William Hanson
William began teaching etiquette from an early age and has gained much experience in teaching manners and protocol to schools and businesses. He has worked with and advised large companies such as Fox’s Biscuits, National Lottery, easyGroup, and Elizabeth Shaw Chocolatiers. He has worked within VIP households and trained business professionals, schoolchildren, and diplomats alike. A perennial voice on the BBC, William comments on matters of taste and critiques social trends for a wide-range of media outlets including Tatler and the Financial Times. He has a penchant for entertaining and regularly throws dinner parties and buffets for guests to great accolade. William brings a younger, less stuffy, element, to modern entertaining and savoir faire.
William comes to Public Image through our partnership with The English Manner.
John Walkley
John has had a multi-faceted career gaining professional qualifications in Human Resource Management, Occupational Psychology, and Mechanical Engineering. He specialises in personal mentoring, coaching and behavioural skills training. He is also a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner providing support and guidance to clients who wish to enhance their image and reputation and improve their influencing skills and working relationships. He regularly undertakes individual coaching and mentoring assignments across all levels of management for local government organisations, police constabularies, schools and private sector organisations. This includes supporting executives and managers who are working for organisations undergoing major cultural change and restructuring where new problem solving approaches are required. A significant part of his recent work has focused on interpersonal and presentation skills training. John has established a reputation for building confidence and making a significant difference to the lives of the clients he works with.
Margaret Fraser
Margaret started her career as a drama teacher before moving into writing and co-ordinating programmes for the Princes Trust in Cardiff. She created Social Inclusion Programmes for KS3 and KS4, which she introduced into ten schools in Mid Wales. For six years she worked with CELTEC (Training & Enterprise) North Wales as Compact Plus Co-ordinator where she created a Social Inclusion Programme that expanded to fifty clubs across North Wales. Margaret travelled widely and later spent some time teaching in Africa. Margaret runs the Drama workshops for Public Image.
Delia Corrie
Delia trained as an actress at RADA and has worked widely in the theatre, on television and on radio. She is a very well-known ‘voiceover' in radio and television commercials, and is a regular female voice on BBC2 and Radio 4. She is a leading specialist in presentation, interview performance and communication training, using drama teaching methods to improve voice production, performance skills, stress control and confidence. As well as her consultancy work, Delia is a popular speaker on her work in the theatre.
Rie Yoshitake
Resident in London since 1986 where she has an extensive network in public and private life, she retains a considerable client base in Japan. Born into a family of teachers, she was educated in English & Business Studies at Seinan University, Fukuoka. She had an early career in education and research before leaving for North America and then studying PR, international marketing and trade in the UK. 1991-2000 she was a UK representative of Sogo Co Ltd, the largest departmental store group in Japan, operating a trading office and looking after Anglo-Japanese business relations. In 2001 she founded Claret Co Ltd, importing fine and rare wines into Japan from London and she is now highly respected as an international expert in fine wines. Because she also has a rare knowledge of all aspects of lifestyles in the West and East Rie offers coaching and guidance to senior business and professional people, advising on the cultural distinctions of both Great Britain and Japan. Her role as cultural intermediary and interpreter has made her a valuable member of the Public Image team.
Emma Jaffray
Emma has worked as a PA and administrator for a wide-ranging variety of organisations including advertising agencies and The Ministry of Defence. Her extensive experience, secretarial and organisational skills, discretion and use of initiative mean that she is ideal as administrator and promoter for Public Image.
